Default Word 2007, sield will show nothing

Hi,

MS Word 2007.

I got an example as following. All the braces were inserted by Ctrl-F9 while the others were typed:

{ IF { DATE \@ "MM" } < 07 { DATE \@ "yyyy" } { = { DATE \@ "yyyy" }+1 \# "0000" } }

I then tried Alt-F9, but got nothing!

Can you tell me what I was doing wrong?
