By typing Alt+94, you insert the HTML entity whose Unicode reference name is "CIRCUMFLEX ACCENT", or "SPACING CIRCUMFLEX".

Thanks for the explanation, but doesn't work on my Mac. I get ª¢ when I type Alt and 94. If I try to add the +, it gives gibberish.


However, problems solved, thanks!

The "+" in "Alt+94" means “at the same time”, i.e. press the Alt key, hold it down, ant type 94 on the numeric pad. But this is on Windows. I believe the Windows “Alt” key is called the “Option” key on a Mac. You might want to have a look at How to find and insert special characters in macOS | Macworld
