I made a template (
Pleading - Superior Court.dotm) which contains a bunch of styles, including the following heading-outline styles that I made:
PointHeading1
PointHeading2
PointHeading3
PointHeading4
PointHeading5
PointHeading6
PointHeading7
PointHeading8
PointHeading9
PointHeading2, for example, uses roman numeral paragraph numbering, and appears like this:
I. Fusce posuere, magna sed pulvinar ultricies, purus lectus malesuada libero, sit amet commodo magna eros quis urna.
PointHeading3 uses alphabetical paragraph numbering, and appears like this:
A. Fusce posuere, magna sed pulvinar ultricies, purus lectus malesuada libero, sit amet commodo magna eros quis urna.
B. Fusce posuere, magna sed pulvinar ultricies, purus lectus malesuada libero, sit amet commodo magna eros quis urna.
My problem is that, after I employ PointHeading2 again, as follows:
II. The Next time I use PointHeading3 below, the outline "number" should be "A" instead of C.
But when I next apply the style PointHeading3 to the next paragraph, it will be "numbered" C as follows, instead of A:
C. Fusce posuere, magna sed pulvinar ultricies, purus lectus malesuada libero, sit amet commodo magna eros quis urna.
As I said above, the last paragraph should have been numbered A.
I would appreciate it if anyone could help me understand the problem (i.e., why the numbering for PointHeading3 doesn't restart at A after my second use of PointHeading2),
and also point me to URLs where I could learn how to fix the outline numbering for PointHeading3.
I posted a copy of my template at this URL "
Pleading - Superior Court.dotm" in case someone has the time to look at it. The "numbering" problem is highlighted in yellow on page 4 of the file.
Thank you in advance for any info or suggestions.
