2nd Style Ref Field in Footer Not Populating

Hello! I have successfully done this before but I am not sure where I have gone wrong. I have two Styles that I have defined for users to type in a Project Number and a Company Name. This data should populate two Style Ref fields in the footer. The Project Number style ref field works just fine and persists through the whole document. When I try to insert a second style ref field in the footer, Company Name, it only populates on the first page. I tried creating the Style Ref on the second page, and again it only populates on the first page. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

I just did a test with a blank document to see what would happen and was able to successfully insert two StyleRef fields into the footer. I then copy and pasted about 3 lines from my original document in to the test document, and again one of the lines in the footer disappeared. Would appreciate any suggestions!

You have either a Different First Page or Different Even and Odd Header/Footer setting.

I was able to solve my problem by changing the text type for the user input. I originally had it as a fillable form-- as soon as I deleted that and just used normal text it worked!

Good to hear you figured out a workaround. You can, though, use a Content Control in a certain style and it will work. You can also use a Mapped Content Control but then you only get one choice because it will replicate throughout the document.

One good method for prompting for user input in a given spot is a MacroButton Field prompt. This works in all computer versions of Word.
