A section break can only reside in the main body of the document - it won't be in a header or footer.
You don't have to have graphics to have floating objects. Do you have text frames in your document? Did you change to Draft view to look for the section break?

However: the draft view is indeed a perfect solution. I needed to be able to see clearly where the section breaks are, and draft mode puts all the section breaks into ready view. Thread solved! |
