I could (just about) imagine a case* where it would be helpful to have an automated link between a sequential run of numbers and a range, but I wouldn't use an ordered list for the range: bookmarks would do the trick, but I've not found Word's bookmarks quite as helpful as I'm used to.
Anyway, "hard cases make bad laws" and I can also imagine losing a lot more time trying to set up the automatic range reference than I could ever gain by having it. * perhaps, "repeat steps n to m" in a complex and evolving procedure where someone might decide to throw in new steps? |
