Hi All,
I have template which I am trying to modify the current template just has a Header and Footer plus continuation pages that populate when needed, the problem being is that the customer needs a tinted box on the page which on top sits the type I've also added this to the continuation page but when I add test text that is more than one page all it does it push the tint box down onto the last page and all the previous pages have no tint box at all. I've added the file incase anyone can point me in the right direction thanks in advance Paul |

Hi Phorsley,
The box you have entered is a shape, which is a single object anchored to a location on the page (when you select the shape, you can see the little anchor icon appear to the left to show you where the image is "sticking" to). Creating new pages with the enter key or a page break will not duplicate the shape (although, placing the cursor after the shape and inserting a Section Next Page break will). Better though would be to work with the options in the design tab. Play around with the page color and page border options (and set the to apply to the whole document) to see if you can get an effect that your end user will like, and that will transfer to new pages consistently. |

There are tried and true methods of designing letterhead in Word. Traditionally the letterhead and continuation letterhead are set in the headers and footers. Here are two pages that will help:
Although both of these are Windows version pages, the principles are the same on a Mac. The document structure is the same. |
