Word document metadata includes information about the author, title, subject, document creation date, print date, save date, comments, revision marks, versions, annotations, and the person who last saved the document. Some of these (e.g. title, subject) are only stored if the user adds them. Word document metadata does not include information about the Word version, operating system, or computer.
While a macro could be used to store addition data as either custom document properties or as document variables, storage in custom document properties, especially, is easily subverted, whether by error or design - just as are the author, title, subject, document creation date, print date, and save date, amongst others. What are you trying to achieve?
