Word documents are formatted based on all the style definitions. If you are adding the existing document to your Cover Page document then you need to firstly ensure that both documents share the same style definitions.

It would be smarter to paste your cover into the Annex document rather than the other way around.

Or build your cover page after importing all the styles from the Annex document.
