Otherwise a two-row, one-column table in-line with text, but that is not as simple to do.

I tested your trick but not good I think, because time consuming and not beautiful.

You could put either the Equation or the table in a Building Block for easy re-use with a keyboard shortcut or a QAT button.

Where can Building Blocks be stored?

Table and Equation is not good for my notes.
