Word 2007 Issue

I am using Word 2007 (bought about 6 months ago).

My problem is that everytime I type, the the very first word in every line is coming up with caps, even if it is the middle of the sentence. How do I prevent this from happening?

is the entire word in caps or just the first letter. Does this first word follow a PERIOD or just the first word of each line is ALL IN CAPS
