Adding to what Paul has said, "footnotes" in Word must be at the bottom of the page in which the reference appears. Endnotes can be at the end of sections or at the end of the document.

Thanks to both of you for your answers!
Follow up q: If I decide to use end notes, can footnotes and end notes be used simultaneously? (ie both in the same text) and in that case, can the numbers be adjusted so that some end notes numbers fit in to the footnote sequence? Like this: footnote 1 footnote 2 end note 3 end note 4 footnote 5 (and there is no end note 1, 2 and no footnote 3,4) Regards Kungen |
