LINK field path will be updated automatically
only when you set the update option "Automatic" and the linked files are in same folder structure. For example, if your folder and files are structured like this; ./master.docx ./linkedfiles/1.docx ./linkedfiles/2.docx . . . these can be saved as a zip file and send them to any colleague in your office.
