Possible to create a user form and populate it with a field from the main document?

By UserForm, I assume you mean a vba custom dialog box.

If the original information is bookmarked or otherwise is a specified container like a tagged content control or document property in the original, you can do this with vba. Open the document in the background, grab the content, and close it.
