When I start a new Word document, the top and bottom margins (set to the default 1in in Page Setup) are not shown, which makes evaluating the page layout rather difficult. The margins are shown as they should be only when I go to File->Page Setup, click on the Layout tab and then on the Borders button. Once in the Borders window I do not have to do anything, just going there apparently resets the way the margins are shown. Opening normal.dot shows normal margins. Is there a solution to this strange problem, please? Baconwallah
