Multiple templates with common styles
Hello, I have situation with Microsoft Word that I hope someone can give me some guidance. I have to create more than a few templates. They all need to have similar paragraph, table, header list (Header x) and character styles. I will also need to add macros. I know how to create a template with specific styles, but how do I create styles that will be consistent over many templates? Thanks. Michael Virostko |

Change the styles in the first template that you create, then use that template as the basis for the others.
Another approach that means less work when something changes, but more work from the start, is to create one template and use macros in that template to make the changes to that template for each document type. This works better when all the templates are basically the same, but have different standard fixed texts etc.
