Should Automatically Update Document Styles be checked in Templates and Add-ins?
After you have gone into this box to select a template to attach, should you leave the Automatically Update Document Styles checked? Does that check it in the individual Styles set for the document? |

That setting re-applies the Style definitions in the template to a document each time the document is opened. It ensures that Styles someone has modified get reset to their original specifications. Depending on the document, you may or may not want that to happen. It has no effect on any new Style the user may have added to the document, however.
