In New Zealand, we use metric size paper (A4) and therefore all units of measurement are metric.

For one document only, I want to change to inches.

I selected File > Options > Advanced > Display and changed to inches and that worked, but it also changed the default for all documents.

How to I make it change for the one document only please?

You can almost certainly do it with macros, but it would be simpler to add a macro to your ribbon to toggle the measurements between inches and centimeters. Attached is a simplified version of an add-in I use myself that puts a button on the Layout tab of the ribbon.
