Default Re: Time Self-Update

Hi Sunnybrae,

Here is a method you can use, but as far as I'm aware the time & date can only be updated automatically without you having to do anything, after you save and close your document. When you open it again, the date and time showing in the footer will have updated to the current time. Otherwise you can manually update it while the document is still open if you want to.

Choose InsertTab > Header & Footer group > Footer arrow > Edit Footer = Header & Footer Design Tools Tab appears.

Insert group > Date & Time > Choose Language e.g. English UK or US > Click on format with both dateand time listed that you prefer > click ‘Update Automatically’ checkbox > OK = current date and time is inserted into the footer.

To update the date & time while thedocument is open, you have to manually right-click the date & time fieldin the footer area and select Update Field.

However, when you save and close a document, the date and time will automatically be updated when you open the documentagain, and it will show the new date and time.
