"Widow/orphan control" prevents a single line of text from a paragraph to appear alone at the beginning or end of a page. This option, which is activated by default in Word, is one of the text flow options found on the Line and Page Breaks tab of the Paragraph dialog box.
In other words, I haven't seen anything strange in your document. However, it is also possible that the text flow is being affected by the Hindi text, for which I do not have the appropriate fonts installed.
