Background color setting not being applied to whole document

On my system, in both print layout view and print preview, I see:

page 1: AGRADECIMENTOS
page 2: RESUMO
page 3: ABSTRACT
page 4: SUMÁRIO - followed by a Table of Contents
page 5: INTRODUÇÃO , plus the page # (8).
So the issue doesn't seem to be with the document but with either your Office installation or your Mac itself. I don't use a Mac, though, so I can't help you with resolving either of those issues.

In your windows system, when you try to apply background color in the archive, are there any white gaps like the picture? It's all ok?

Maybe the problem is my system or the MacOS version of Word.
