Word automatically converting document to Greek
I have just opened a document that I was working on yesterday. It has been converted to Greek (not tranlsated, just the letter have been converted to corresponding Greek alphabet characters).
I have not changed any settings either in Word (2016) or on my computer (Windows 10). The template has been used hundreds of times by colleagues and nobody has reported this issue. Does anyone have any idea of what could have occurred? Cheers |

Found the problem, it was simply that (somehow) the font was changed to Symbol.

As the Greek character set does not correspond with the Roman character set and in any case there are fewer characters in the Greek alphabet, this does not sound like a character conversion.
P.S. I see you have found the issue while I was replying - using a symbol font would do it.
