You can copy & paste from Excel into Word. The default paste is as a Word table - which will maintain alignments, etc. Whether any borders or gridlines appear depend on how you format the table and whether you have the 'show gridlines' table option checked, respectively.

How do I copy text from wxcel and paste to word , eliminating lines but keeping columns aligned?

I just tried it again, but it still does the same thing. It copies the table lines. The last paste option is text only still, but if that one is used, the columns in the table do not stay aligned. Something has changed on word. There used to be an option of paste that would do exactly what I want to do. I used it last year, but I cant find out where the option for it is now.
