In that case, it seems to me you have four main options:
1. Leave things as they are. 2. Modify your Autocad export process so the unwanted characters aren't included in the output. 3. Remove the unwanted characters in Excel before doing the transfer to Word. 4. Remove the unwanted characters in Word only.
