Hi all. I am trying to write a complex document for work with multiple levels in it. I know how to create a multilevel document and how to label figures and tables using the "Add Chapter" function when creating a caption. My problem is that I can't seem to label some figures/tables using, for example, Heading 2 as the Chapter label and some figures/tables using Heading 3 as the chapter label. For example, my document has levels set up like so:

1.2
1.2.1
1.2.2
1.3
2
2.1
2.2
etc.



I want to be able to label tables under section 1.1 as Table 1.1.1, Table 1.1.2, etc. And tables under section 1.2.1 as Table 1.2.1.1, Table 1.2.1.2, etc. However, whenever I switch from one level to the other, it changes all the captions for all tables/figures. And if there is no Heading 3, it reverts to the last Heading 3 it can find, even if it is in the wrong chapter. Any thoughts on how I can get around this issue? Thanks all!
