Default Font changes when I copy/paste one document into another

Hi all,

I am using MS Word 2007.

I have several short documents prepared using the Arial font size12. I want to combine them into a single document. My process is: Open document A. Ctrl-A to select the whole document, then Ctrl-C to copy it. Open document B, go to the end, then Ctrl-V to paste doc A onto the end of doc B.

When I do this the second part of the combined document ie the copied version of doc A, is now in Calibri 12, not Arial 12. The first part, the original doc B, remains in Arial 12.

It doesn’t matter if I paste doc A onto the beginning or the end of doc B, or even in the middle. The font changes for the copied part but the original part is not affected..

Why is it so? More importantly, how can I stop it happening?

Thanks in advance.

RobertWA
