In Word, you can unlock fields in the selection by pressing Ctrl+Shift+F11. (Note that, depending on your keyboard, you may have to press Ctrl+Shift+FN+F11.) Once you have unlocked them, you can update many fields by switching to Print Preview (Ctrl+P) and then return to Print Layout view (ESC). Or you can select the whole document (Ctrl+A) and update with F9.
