Thanks so much for replying, Skeezix...
As i'm not that tech savvy, i'm afraid to play with the registry. i've got enough problems as it is. Also, not sure if i even could reinstall office professional as i got the program thru a microsoft link (years ago) that doesnt exist anymore. when i search 'download MS Office', i only see links for office 365, which i must pay for. might you have any other suggestions?
