However, the Ribbon versions are also very much customizable, but you have to really work at it; definitely not simple.

The QAT is pretty simple but to do good things with the Ribbon takes extra skills.
They made the UI harder to customize at the request of IT Nazis in corporate America.

It was a lot of work, but now I can change the menus just by creating/deleting/moving templates.
