If the file you were editing was an email attachment, all you'd have saved was a cached copy of that attachment. You need to either save the attachment to disk before editing it or save it to an appropriate folder via SaveAs afterwards; otherwise Windows will delete the file when you close your email application.

Actually, now that I think about it, I *did* do a Save As, because the recovered file had the very file name, I thought it would, "filename-editedbyme." Weird! Just happy I found it! |
