Document attached to Word Header

Hello, working on a MAC with OSX 10.9. Word 2011 - 14.7.7. I somehow attached a document to Word and it opens with this document in the centre of the page and I can open others, but this one is "stuck" there. No header on the document - it's just under the ruler. How do I get rid of it? Thanks
