Cursor moving text in blocks, black blocks appear
Windows 7, 64, Word 2007
Last two weeks Word cursor has a mind of its own Everything okay for a few seconds or lines and then cursor has somehow shifted to a part of the text nearby and there are half lines partially hidden and black lines, left to right border of page and no less than one full line thick, can be blocks sometimes half an inch thick for half the page and then back to quarter-inch but they go the full width of the page. Have tried deleting normal.comm Moving the cursor does not make the errors won't go away but if I save the file it "comes back clean" and works okay for a few seconds and then it happens again. Any ideas/help much appreciated |

Are you using a laptop? In that case, you may have to adjust the sensitivity of the touchpad. Some touchpads are so sensitive that vibrations from typing may be interpreted as mouse movement and/or mouse clicks.

Thanks Stefan, not a laptop, desktop.
But – I think that in the last few hours I have got onto the Solution – I recalled that the problem started at about the time I did a Dragon Professional Individual 15 upgrade, and I got onto the Dragon website and I see that they have an upgrade to fix a problem where the cursor inadvertently moves text - so I applied that and in the last hour or so the problem is still there but very minimal – does not move the text in blocks, the only thing that seems wrong at the moment is the cursor itself is sometimes half a line below where it should be but I can live with that everything else looks okay. In a nutshell – problem looks like it It was an incompatibility problem between DragonDictate and Microsoft Word and a dragon patch has fix the problem – The amazing thing of course is that Nuance Put something out to market that had an incompatibility problem with the very program in which the DragonDictate product would be used the most– Makes you wonder where all that research and development money goes. Again, your assistance/comments much appreciated. |
