We've developed a lengthy survey with text box and check box controls. We followed instructions we found online that showed how the completed form can be saved as a delimited text document which contains just the data entered into the controls (file/save as/more options/tools/save options/advanced/save form data as delimited text file).
A week or so ago, we tested this procedure with a small version of our survey and it worked. We tested it with an older sample file we found online (in Word 1997-2003 format) and *that* worked. Now we're trying to do it with our full survey and cannot get it to save a delimited text file that contains anything. Not only that, but the files we created earlier to test the procedure no longer work, and we can't create anything from scratch that works. In all cases, the text files we create contain no data. The sample file still works. And we've determined that a form that uses “text form fields” (from the Developer section, under Controls > Legacy Forms) will work. Using the default “rich text content” fields will not work now, though it did before, and the instructions online show them being used successfully. Does anyone have any idea what's going on here? Any suggestions for making our survey work, without having to create it again from scratch using a different system? Many thanks, -Scott |
