Can someone here tell me the difference between printing a Word 2016 document to the Adobe PDF printer vs. using the Export function and selecting the Create Adobe PDF option?

Word's export function allows you to include links between bookmarks & cross-references, for example, and to specify ISO 19005 compliance, whereas (AFAIK) printing to PDF does not.

Both means are Adobe Add-Ins. The documentation should be on the Adobe site.
There is also Save As pdf which is a Microsoft option. It also allows, as an option bookmarks created from headings and bookmarks.


I am sure there are differences in the file structures. You could compare file sizes.
