I am using MS 2016 as a scientific word with a lot of mathematical equations. It has not been easy.
It seems that everything depends on what you can put in a box on the screen. Anyway, I have attached a screen capture shot to illustrate my problem. I am using capital sigma for a summation; it works sort of. The first screen shot shows what I got. The indexes on the summation are squeezed in to summaton; they are not on the top and the bottom of the summation as I want. I did select the correct form after clicking on inserrt. See second attached screen shot. I want them to look this way, not he way they look in the first screen shot. As I said, select the correct form, but still got the unwanted look. How canI avoid this? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance. Respectfully, James M. Yunker |
