Why do headings of the same type sometimes look different?

My Header3 always starts with no space between the number and header text and then changes in the next header, the same header 3

I have checked all the settings that I can see. I cannot seem to find anything that would explain this behavior...

I have attached a picture of this, as I am not sure if I am explaining it well.

What is causing this? I know it has nothing to do with the length of the header 3 text because I have tried different lengths.
