Are there floating objects in your layout?

So some documents are getting broken up but others aren't.

I'm going to try and compare the ones that are to the ones that aren't.

I'll look for floating objects.

I figured it out!

So part of the document was formatted weird

When I space-bared through a certain line, about 3/4's of the way through the cursor would jump 3 lines down.

So if you're having this problem

1.) Look at the spot where the 'split' occurs, ie. the area right before a huge chunk of white space.
2.) Spacebar / arrow-key through the lines in that area to make sure you can make it all the way across the width of the page without jumping to another line.
3.) Change any misbehaving lines so that you can spacebar arrow-key through the entire line without your cursor jumping to a different line.
