Unwanted blank page at end of doc formatted into columns

Not having any luck. The entire doc is formatted as two columns with the exception of the upper portion of the first page where the title, followed by a photo, are in normal format, single column. Then, following a break inserted via the page layout tab, the rest of the doc is in two columns.

The blank page at the end appears to be formatted into two columns, and by highlighting that page (dragging the mouse over it), there are four lines that are empty or blank, as if the enter key was tapped four times and no characters were typed into that space. Back spacing does not remove them, so I remain mystified.

Thanks for any advice.
