![]() I am using Microsoft Word 2010. I have a document with multiple uncheckable boxes (over 700 boxes). I would like to replace all the boxes, which I believe are wingdings, with a checkable box. From what I've read online I can't do it with multiple selected items all at once. Does anyone know if there a is macro that I could run to find and replace each wingding with a legacy check box? |

Consider using Content Control Checkboxes instead. It will give you more flexibility.
No answer to basic question, sorry. |

The simplest way to replace all your Wingding checkboxes (assuming they show as using the Wingdings font when you select one) with the real deal is to insert a content control checkbox into the document (e.g. replacing the first Wingding checkbox with the content control checkbox), then copy that to the clipboard and use Find/Replace, where:
Find:Font = Wingdings Replace = ^c
