Microsoft notepad over word for saving important text files
Hello so as far as I'm aware, you can only paste text on notepad without much formatting but I am just concerned about notepad being a reliable program for saving important text files. So my questions are:
1. I know you can't paste images and weird colored text into notepad, but let's say I go on reddit or on any webpage online and highlight and then copy an entire page with text, images, text box outlines, and other items that are not text and then paste it into notepad...Will this delete or corrupt the text that is copied from a webpage with heavy images, texts, and text boxes when pasted into notepad? 2. Can I trust that microsoft Notepad will preserve my copied and pasted text into notepad without parts of my copied/pasted text deleting or corrupting/ changing into different texts? I will maybe have 2000 + pages of work and wanted to preserve each and every text onto notepad. PS: Sorry, I did not know which section on the forum to post this on! Many thanks!
