Hello All,

I did format my hard drive and lost all my data, i did recover word documents but i cant open it. i got the following error:

" word cant do this because a dialog box is open. Please close the dialog box to continue"

and when i close the dialog box, i got the following error:

" We re sorry. We cant open file name.doc because we found a problem with its content.
The file is corrupt it and cant be opened. "

I did try to open it with Office 2016, 2013 and 2007 but it didn't work.

Any idea to open those files.

If the file has been recovered via file recovery software, that's no guarantee the contents will be usable. That said, you might try opening it using the 'Recover text from any file' opening option; just don't be surprised if you get nothing meaningful by this method.

Remember to turn the option to recover text from any file off when you are done using it. It is a "sticky" option.
