Post How can I insert a table of content slightly differing from the headings in the text?

Example:

Table of Contents:

1 Introduction……………..p.No.

Within the text:

Chapter 1

Introduction

My first step to reach this is not to include "Chapter 1" in the heading and define it as normal text.
Then I need to omit the "1" in front of "Introduction" in the heading. Writing "1" twice would look funny.
When I leave out the "1" in front of "Introduction" in the heading it will be left out in the table of contents too. I don't want that. I've been trying for hours. How can I fix this.

What would be an elegant way to reach such a formatting style?

There are many tutorial for formatting table of contents online but I couldn’t find one addressing this specific subject.

I hope there is a better way to reach this than doing it manually.

I would be happy to receive a link to a tutorial including this matter.

Thank you for your support!

Here is a link to a book where such a formatting style was used. You can see the formatting difference by comparing the beginning of the introduction chapter with the way the introduction is presented in the table of contents in the preview of this book:
