Font change is seen by eye but not reflected on Home tag

I mostly write my documents in Arial Font size 10.

Now I have a long document in which a short section clearly is written in some other font. When I highlight this section the Home tab along the top indicates that it is written in Arial 10.

The offending section looks to me as though it might be in Courier.

I cannot find a way of fiddling the section so that it looks like Arial 10

I have tried to paste in an illustrative section but the forum mchanisms reduce everything to one font. Sorry !
