Good Evening,
I am by no means a Word expert and have run into a problem. When I open a Word document I get the message that the document is "locked for editing by another user". I know that I am the only one trying to access the file. Also if I check the info option I am told that the document is protected. So, my questions are 1. How to I prevent this protection from being applied to new documents? 2. How can I retroactively unprotect the documents I have already created? I should mention that all the documents in question are the result of using an existing file so perhaps the issue was with that file. Thanks in advance for your help.
