How do I code a Word Document to force a "save as"
How do I code a Word 97-2003 document to force a "save as" prompt each time the template is used (to preserve the original)? I'm using Word 2016. Thank you. Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 09-07-2017 at 05:31 PM. Reason: Mark as solved

You use a template, not a document.
That is the default action for a template. When used through File > New, and select the template, it creates a new (unnamed) document. To save it, you must give it a name. Same if you double-click on the template. See also File New Variations in the Versions of Word.
