~$The TrueType Font File.docx is a Word lock file created when a Word document The TrueType Font File.docx is opened, and removed when the document is closed - provided Word has not crashed.

You should be able to view it if present with hidden files displayed. If you can't see it, how do you know it is there?

I am not familiar with the particular backup software, but such software does not normally copy files that are in use.
