Thank you so much Charles. That did the trick. Actually, it was a continuous section break at the very bottom of page 1. I see that continuous needs to be inside a single page, not between. I am also deeply appreciative for the extremely helpful link to the lesson on section breaks and header/footers, as well as other links. I really needed that information. I did not know all that that material is out there. I was just struggling along trying to guess what to do from the limited material accessible through the Help menu. I really appreciate this. I have a long way to go, as I'll be needing to generate TOC, List of Figures, and hope to use indexing, maybe foot or end notes though I hope to avoid that. But your links have given me an opening into more help. I may well be back up here with more questions.... Thanks again.
