Thanks, Charles. Running "winword.exe /a" got rid of the message, but I can't find any add-ins that are running. I go to File/Options/Add-Ins... Wait a second. I'm getting somewhere. I have to see what type of add-ins I have, and then choose to manage that type of add-in at the bottom.
I removed two .COM add-ins related to OneNote. Rather than going for other types of add-ins that I have (Action, XML Schema, and XML Expansion Pack) I was intrigued by "Disabled Options". I took a look at that and it showed me three documents that recently made Word crash. Two were full of graphics, so I wasn't surprised.
Since I've learned this warning message is related to an add-in and not a virus, I decided just for the heck of it to say, "Yes, please go ahead and make changes to the global template." No more message. I opened three different docs with no warning window. Problem solved I think.
Thanks for the help!
