Hello everyone. I am looking for a good template or formatting software for a uk stageplay using word: Most seem to be American or screenplays where the character name is written directly above the dialogue wheras I want the character name on the same line as the dialogue. Can anyone help?

You are unlikely to get that here.

Is there some reason to not take one that is close and adapt it?
