Content reformatting is fairly common when the same document is opened on computers using different printer drivers (even if they're using the same printer). That's because Word uses data supplied by the active printer driver to optimise the page layout.
Another possibility is that the document is formatted for a different paper size than what the users' printers are configured for and some users have Word configured to 'allow A4/Letter resizing' while others do not.
